Lee Thornton becomes the Fish North 2024 champion picking up the trophy and a cool £12,000.

2024 once again seen a new winner joining the few who have been crowned Fish North champion. The event took place on the Middy Arena Lake at Forest Lane once again and with conditions more favourable than the previous year, it became a tight contest between the finalists, but it was Lee Thornton who just managed to catch enough to be crowned the Fish North Champion for 2024.

Only 3lb seperated the top two angleers but for the first time every angler weighed in excess of 100lb, which is testament to the fishery for such a great final with everyone catching plenty of fish.

Second place went to Luke Hawksworth on peg 19 with a weight on 174lb 1oz with Adam Richards taking third on peg 5 with a weight of 159lb 3oz.

The top 3 on the day:

  1. 1st Lee Thornton – Peg 1 – 177lb 12oz
  2. 2nd Luke Hawksworth – Peg 19 174lb 1oz
  3. 3rd Adam Richards – Peg 5 – 159lb 3oz

Congratulations to Lee Thornton the Fish North champion 2024.
